How It Works
We have 52-acres near Crescent City, FL and have it partially financed, making this project a reality rather than just another idea. The acquisition of the property required significant effort. Acquiring the property is arguably one of the most difficult parts of a project like this.
The property is conveniently located a 1.5-hour drive south of Jacksonville and a 1.5-hour drive north of Orlando.
St. Augustine and Daytona Beach are only an hour's drive away and it's only an hour and 10 minutes to New Smyrna Beach.

We have made significant progress with the property and are committed to building a Voluntaryist community. Our aim is to involve more like-minded individuals who align with our principles and are willing to invest the time, energy effort and money and endeavor like this takes.
We will exclusively consider individuals who genuinely align with voluntaryist principles and deeply resonate with all the info put fourth on this site. We have sought guidance from a handful of experienced voluntaryists who have played a crucial role in shaping the ideas presented on this website.
Reinventing an entire way of life (potentially creating a new culture) is a task that should not be taken lightly, considering that over 90% of community living situations like this fail (and we have already encountered one setback early on). Therefore, we are taking every precaution to ensure our success. Please be sure to read the home page (here) and the vision page (here).
We are seeking other voluntaryists who are interested in joining this project and building a community. It is essential that potential participants are in alignment with the information provided on this website and have the financial means to contribute. The key to the success of this project we feel lies in finding the right community members and owners. We are looking at how to accommodate potential renters as we move forward too.
This is an opportune moment to join a project that has recently begun, where you can contribute formation / growth and prosperity.
Voluntaria is currently spearheaded by 3 owners. Two of which have been long time voluntaryist friends who have developed the core ideas.
While some of the land will be shared by the community, as an owner, you will also have your "own" land on the property. You will also have flexibility to choose what kind of housing you want, such as having RV, building a tiny house, a regular house, a yurt, a hempcrete house, a mud hut, a teepee, a igloo, or even a bat cave.
Our goal is to create a community that offers income opportunities, allowing individuals to work and live on-site if they desire. All operational and financial documents will be published online, following the open-source model, ensuring complete transparency.
Imagine the satisfaction of living among like-minded moral individuals who value freedom, work ethic and the enjoyment of life.
Voluntaria's aim is to provide that environment.
Now, let's discuss the financial aspects. Currently, there are three owners and we think we want to have a total of 9 to 11 owners.
There is an existing loan on the property with a monthly payment of $2200. Additionally, we would like to collect money from new owners to seed the common fund a bit, enabling us to initiate projects efficiently (with agreement of course). We also are looking at a monthly common fund fee to handle the monthly expenses of the community.
If you are passionate about voluntaryism and interested in joining our community, we encourage you to get in touch (click here). Together, we can create a thriving Voluntaria community where individuals can live, work, and enjoy life while sharing common principles and goals.
